In a nut shell, if you supply window cleaning services and want to tender for some large contracts, get down to this event. Lee Burbidge will see you there!

Midland Heart is hosting a ‘Meet the Buyer’ open day from 9am to 1pm on Friday 20th January 2012 at BVSC, The Centre for Voluntary Action, Birmingham.

“This is a brilliant opportunity for businesses to meet buyers from one of the largest Midlands (UK) based housing associations”, said Rachael James, Senior Procurement Manager.

This event will provide suppliers with more information on the Midland Heart enviromental services contract tendering opportunity for the following.

  • Grounds maintenance
  • Window Cleaning (WCM likes this 🙂 )
  • Communal Cleaning

The event will provide information on enviromental services contracts to be tendered in February 2012, the procurement process, the type of standard information that will be required from suppliers.

Midland Heart is running this event for all interested parties including local businesses, social enterprises and charities.

Neil Whittenbury, Head of Housing at Midland explains: ” The Midlands is full of both new and long established businesses and we want to hear from anyone who thinks we may benefit from what they have to offer. We are looking forward to meeting as many businesses as possible”.

Melanie Mills, Chief Executive foe Social Enterprise West Midlands expressed her enthusiasm for the intiative saying that, ” Midland Heart is an extremley important employer in the Midlands. I was pleased that Midland Heart is taking positive and pro-active steps to engage with the local business community. I hope that as many local companies as possible will seek out the opportunities that this event offers”.

Spaces on the day will be allocated on a first-come-first- serve basis. It is therefore recommended that any one interested comes along early to avoid disappointment.
