Longest Day Golf Challenge in aid of Macmillan Cancer Support

Paul Thrupp, Account Director of OCS Group UK Limited, is taking on the Longest Day Golf Challenge in aid of Macmillan Cancer Support. The challenge will involve 72 holes in one. Mr Thrupp says, ” I will be doing this with my two lads and a friend. We normally struggle with 18, although we will be assisted by the use of buggies (we hope)”.

Paul Thrupp and his assistants say that they are supporting this because it is a great cause. They are naming themselves ‘Team Chatwin’ after a great friend, Steve Chatwin, who they sadly lost nearly two years ago.

“It felt like this is the right thing to do for Steve, his family and Macmillan, doing one of his favourite things…. although we may regret it the day after”.

The Challenge begins on the 21st June 2016, teeing off at 0600 hours at Stonebridge Golf Course, Meriden, West Midlands UK and probably finishing about 2200 hours.

Paul promises, “A full day of golfing fun- pars, plenty of bogeys, the occasional birdie, arguments, laughter, chafing, body aching but as always loads of banter with friends and family….. bring it on!”.

The Thrupp family thought it would be great if others can possibly consider supporting the challenge in any small way you can, and if you can please could you visit the Just Giving Page at https://www.justgiving.com/TeamChatwinGolfers
